Hey all! Things got confused with the 93.3 CFMU broadcast today, but rest assured, THIS is episode 146!
I have always been nervous about interviewing poets at length, because I’m still unsure how much I can speak intelligently about the form. However, after reading the newest from Sonnet L’abbé, there wasn’t really any option for me. Sonnet’s Shakespeare is phenomenal. From the Penguin website, “Bronwen Wallace Memorial Award-winning poet Sonnet L’Abbé returns with her third collection, in which a mixed-race woman decomposes her inheritance of Shakespeare by breaking open the sonnet and inventing an entirely new poetic form.”
Yeah, it’s interesting, unique and amazing. Hope you dig our chat!
