Is that a saying? Does it even make sense? Anyway, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ggbooks.ca\/\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">GG Award<\/span><\/a> finalists were announced this week, as was the short list of the <a href=\"https:\/\/scotiabankgillerprize.ca\/2019-finalists\/\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Scotiabank Giller Prize<\/span><\/a>. A few weeks ago we spoke to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jamietennant.ca\/index.php\/2019\/09\/19\/e148-with-k-d-miller\/\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">K.D. Miller<\/span><\/a>, who was announced as a GG finalist, though she didn&#8217;t appear on the Giller short list.<\/p>\n<p>A name you\u00a0<em>will\u00a0<\/em>see on the short list is that of this week&#8217;s guest, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.penguinrandomhouse.ca\/authors\/308088\/steven-price\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Steven Price<\/span><\/a>. Tune in as we talk about his novel\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.penguinrandomhouse.ca\/books\/253484\/lampedusa-by-steven-price\/9780771071683\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Lampedusa<\/span><\/a>, a fictional look at real-life author\u00a0Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (whose posthumously published novel The Leopard became a classic of Italian literature).\u00a0 Two notes to make: Steven took at least 20 minutes to chat after the interview, asking about my own work, so: cool, classy dude.
