Today we talk with former CFMU producer/host (“Soundtracks”), filmmaker (“Lucky Seven“) and now author (“When The Luck Runs Dry“) Stephen Hayes. I enjoyed this one not only because I know the guy, but because we were able to discuss the challenges, differences, and benefits of adapting your own screenplay into fiction. Maybe I can get Tarantino on the show next?
Also! The Governor General’s Literary Awards finalists were announced. Wild. I will call myself “finalist-adjacent” because one of the fiction finalists is Gord Grisenthwaite! I edited the novel “Home Waltz” and I’m super excited for him.
Other folks I know or have at least interviewed? Joe Ollmann for Fictional Father, Rebecca Salazar for Sulphertongue, and Jenna Butler for Revery. Cool stuff. Congrats to everyone!
